Alliance and Cooperation with the Labor Movement and All Working People

Archive National Meetings 27th National Convention CPUSA July 2001 Proposed Resolutions

Proposed resolution passed at the Northern California District Convention, June 3, 2001

WHEREAS Party experience has matched the understanding of our political forbears, Marx and Engels, that the history of mankind is one of class struggle, and

WHEREAS in that framework, the new Party Labor Program asks participation and cooperation with working people struggling for better wages and working conditions, toward socialism, and

WHEREAS AFL-CIO President John Sweeney is calling for fundamental social change, away from selfishness and greed,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Party at all levels continue to enhance its alliance and cooperation with the labor movement, and with all working people, particularly industrial workers and people of color -- that all our work head in that direction.
