Young communist education tour takes country by storm

The democratic upsurge to defend union rights and against right wing extremism sweeping Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and the country is like an unstoppable prairie fire.

People are being changed by their experience. There is a new burning interest in radical ideas and the Communist Party, USA and Young Communist League.

The CPUSA held its first history making national call to 1,500 new members on March 19. They were so happy and enthusiastic to hear from us and want to be more involved:  Hello, Communist Party calling

The new members just entering the movement are eager to learn Marxism. You can help provide the education these young people need by  donating here

The CPUSA and YCL in conjunction with the People Before Profits Education Fund are organizing a series of weekend schools for young activists across the country called the “Little Red Bus Tour.”

The first wildly successful stop was Los Angeles. Young people gathered from Arizona, Washington, Oregon and California, in person and via live streaming on the Internet, to take in a Marxist understanding of the current situation, struggles from Egypt to Wisconsin, racism, women’s and LGBT rights, and the fight for a socialist USA.

They shared plenty of time for cultural and social activities as well.

You can  donate here to ensure more young people have the same exciting learning experience.   As one student said, “there was never a dull moment.”

Here are some of their comments from the students:

“I enjoyed the discussions among the students. It’s a good way to meet people who have socialist views”

“As a high school youth I wanted to have more discussions when I talk to people, and it has inspired me to do presentations when I get older.”

“I learned how socialism values human rights very highly.”

“My favorite talk was on racism emphasizing the institutionalization of the racism and women’s right and how it divides working people”

“I thought the school was eye opening, before this I had a mechanical opinion of socialism and the working class. I learn that it is a lot more about justice and how capitalism is something that is reprehensible and how racism and sexism are part of the system.”

“It was worth the 400 miles I drove to get here. ”

Please consider  donating to the Little Red Bus Tour, as it travels across the United States.

The Tour now heads to New Haven, Conn., where another exciting school is being planned for April 1-3.

Read the People’s World story:  Next stop on the Red Bus tour – New Haven   Students are expected from up and down the East Coast along with many non-YCL youth and student activists. Afterward the tour travels to Florida, Texas and Chicago.

Donate here to ensure every young person who wants to can attend these Marxist schools.   It is inspiring to know talented, committed and highly motivated youth are ready to step in and continue the struggle for democracy and socialism.   Thanks for your generous support to ensure the future.
