Dear Readers,
Money is the life-blood of organizations. Money makes the world go ’round. Money is a necessary evil. It’s not the truth we want to hear, but these clichés are true enough under capitalism. Future generations will live in a communist society where these adages will be curious artifacts of history.
At the beginning of this year, we completed a successful fund-raising drive, raising over $100,000. This alleviated the financial pinch caused by the economic downturn, but we’re not out of the proverbial woods yet.
Here’s where you come in. We launched a year-end fund drive to raise $35,000 by December 31. If you can do so, please donate to the CPUSA to help us reach our year-end goal.
Your donations will keep the Party’s vital work going. The Party is growing quickly, and we need to match that growth with more support for the new clubs. For example, we publish excellent pamphlets through a union printer—pamphlets like Black Lives Matter, Rural Americans, Marxism in the Age of Amazon and Uber, with others on LGBTQ rights, women’s equality, and more to come—not a cheap proposition. They are a valuable tool for outreach, and clubs are distributing these pamphlets in large numbers.
Here’s some good news: The Jarvis Tyner birthday celebration brought in donations totaling over $20,000, so we’re well on our way to the $35,000 goal.
Help us get to the finish line. We understand that many are hurting, so we emphasize that no amount is too small. And if your savings balance is healthy, consider a generous donation that fits your wallet. You may donate online or mail a check to CPUSA, 235 West 23rd Street, New York, NY 10011.
Happy New Year!
Rossana & Joe
