A Seder feast in Manhattan sponsored by the Communist Party

Members, leaders and friends of the New York City’s Communist Party clubs came together at a Passover Seder celebration last Sunday at the party’s 23rd street office. Retold at the Seder is the inspiring story of the first slave revolt some 4,000 years ago. Participants also recalled struggles for freedom throughout the ages.  “Our Seder, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic celebration also reminded all that nobody’s free until everybody’s free” said Gabe Falsetta a party stalwart and leader of the newly established Queens club.

“At the Seder”, Falsetta continued,  “The Haggadah, which is updated to reflect our times, is read by each guest.  It talks about the endless wars draining our Treasury and our moral compass. The homeless, the unemployed, the millions living in poverty are all spoken of.”

Some 30 New Yorkers joined the celebration. “It was really great” said one guest, “And the food wasn’t bad either.”

“The Trump administration that promotes the anti-people policies, fosters anti-Semitism and robs the working class from having health care for all was not let off the hook” concluded Falsetta. “We raised our glass to the spirit of resistance!”
