Biggest obstacle to socialism

The biggest barrier to socialism in my area is religion. I live in Alabama, and we have a large population of White Evangelical Christians. This group overwhelmingly supports President Trump and his White Nationalist agenda. Unfortunately, I am unsure about how to change their political attitudes.
