Tony Pecinovsky, author of Let Them Tremble: Biographical Interventions Marking 100 Years of the Communist Party, discusses the popularity of their message among students who gathered by the hundreds and thousands to hear Gus Hall, Benjamin Davis Jr., Herbert Aptheker, James Jackson, and others.
