Long Island CP supports ceasefire demand at county legislature

Members of the CPUSA Long Island club supported Long Island’s North Country Peace Group, South Country Peace Group, and Suffolk for a Ceasefire coalition at a meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature on Tuesday, March 5. There, coalition members delivered comments in support of a ceasefire to their elected representatives.

Speakers included peace and community activists, people of faith, and those with family living in Palestine.

“Whether or not you’re able to make it to a protest, rally, or demo, let this inspire you to attend your next local government or county legislature meeting and speak up for Palestine,” the club wrote on its Twitter/X page.
