Solidarity with the Communist Party of Türkiye!

The Turkish state, under Erdoğan’s anti-democratic rule, continues its brutal crackdown on dissent — jailing activists, suppressing protests, and criminalizing opposition while masquerading as a “democracy.” This repression exposes the hollowness of NATO’s claims to defend freedom, as the war alliance embraces assaults on workers, socialists, and democratic rights. The arrest of TKP members is part of this broader attack on the people’s right to resist exploitation and oppression.

The Communist Party USA condemns the unjust arrest of TKP members, including Party Council members Ahmet Dincel and Arda Hacıyusufoğlu, for defending the people’s right to protest and engage in politics. This repression against the TKP, as well as numerous other incidents against the Turkish working class and progressive forces, exposes the Erdoğan government’s desperation to silence dissent and crush democratic rights.

We stand firmly with the TKP, the workers of Turkey, and all progressive forces in Turkey resisting intimidation. The working class and oppressed peoples worldwide recognize your courage. No repression will stop the workers’ struggle for justice!
