This school focuses on the U.S. working class, how it’s theorized, an overview of its composition, the concept of the “forces of production,” class structure in the U.S., and what are called “special questions” in Marxism — that is, the manner in which people of color, women, and LGBTQ people are oppressed. What’s the relationship between the class struggle and the battle for democracy in today’s circumstances?
