July 2026 CPUSA National Committee meeting

The people’s front and the return of the socialist moment

Keynote given by CPUSA Co-Chair Joe Sims

Workers are not only makers. We are also shakers, and we’re getting ready to shake things up.

Political Action Commission

Report given by Joelle Fishman

Our longtime slogan, “People, Peace and Planet Before Profits,” is the message of the day. People want to hear from Communists.

Labor Commission

Report given by Steve Noffke, Cameron Harrison, and Kooper Caraway

The labor movement in the United States is in a period of motion, presenting both opportunities and challenges for the working class and our Party.

Organizational Department

Report given by Anita Waters

The Organizational Department will continue to work on improving two-way communication between the National Committee (NC) and the clubs and districts and assisting in organizing Party-wide initiatives.

Education Department

Report given by Dee Miles

If we are not vigilant, capital’s orientations dominate and take over, while working-class orientations become diminished.

African-American Equality Commission

Report given by Dom Shannon

The African American Equality Commission is calling for the full mobilization of our Party districts and clubs in defense of voting and civil rights, with particular focus on the South.

Peace and Solidarity Commission

Report given by Henry Lowendorf

We urge continuing to lobby to cut the executive’s war power ability and to re-assert Congress’ control over declaring war. We urge more effort demanding the removal of National Guard troops from our cities.

Women’s Commission

Report given by Lisa Armstrong

Women’s Committees can build women’s leadership in clubs and districts, in their unions, and in their coalitions. They can foster a healthy environment that welcomes queer comrades and women of color into the Party.

International Department

Report given by Ani Toncheva

There is an aggressive pressure campaign by the U.S. and a global rise in right-wing governments willing to support U.S. imperialist policy in exchange for weapons deliveries or other trinkets for their ruling classes.

District of Columbia Metro District

Report given by Dante O’Hara

With the fights around redistricting in the South and the further encroachment on our political rights, DC statehood should become a greater priority for our movements and garner more national attention.

CPUSA.org Editors

Report given by Eric Brooks

CPUSA.org is not neutral. It stands for Marxism-Leninism and socialism, this Party, and the working class.
