WHEREAS:

There exists an ongoing conflict in the United States over women’s rights to self determination of their bodies, and the Party formally and explicitly stands for Women’s Liberation, and Access to reproductive healthcare is not only a human right, but also essential to a free and democratic society, and

WHEREAS:

The facilities providing reproductive healthcare, which also provide other necessary healthcare to low income women, are under continual assault and harassment by reactionary protesters, and the women, men and children seeking services at these facilities are under continual assault and harassment by reactionary protesters, and

WHEREAS:

The aforementioned reactionary protesters are emboldened by their perception that the silence of the public is tacit support for their harassment.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED

that the Washington State District shall continue to support Planned Parenthood’s Clinic Defense program(s), as well as other self-organized defense pickets and the distribution of propaganda against reactionary ideology attacking women’s rights.

THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED

that the District should ask the National Party to advise other Districts to take up similar actions as appropriate to their regions.
