Greetings from the Philippine Communist Party (PKP-1930)

Dear comrades,

Thank you for the kind invitation for our party to send a guest delegate to the 30TH National Convention of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) which will be held in Chicago, Illinois, on June 13 to 15, 2014. We regret that we are unable to send a representative to this very important milestone in the history of the CPUSA.

However, through you, the Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas (PKP-1930, the Philippine Communist Party) sends warmest fraternal greetings to the 30th National Convention of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), which we hope will chart a renewed course that will help build a widespread movement in the USA that will put people and nature before profits — a strong movement for the socialist transformation of the USA.

Your 30th National Convention will be held in Chicago, the city of the Haymarket Martyrs who gave their lives in the working class struggle and whose example inspired the selection of May 1 as International Workers’ Day. We are confident that your holding of your 30TH National Convention in Chicago will greatly inspire all delegates to further strengthen your party’s proletarian nature and ties, and your party’s struggle against imperialism and for socialism in the USA.

Also, the PKP-1930 sends warmest fraternal greetings to all office-bearers and members of the CPUSA as you celebrate this year the 95th anniversary of the founding of your party.

Finally, we hope to further strengthen the comradely relations between our two parties, in the spirit of proletarian internationalism and the worldwide anti-imperialist struggle.

With communist greetings,

Antonio E. Paris
General Secretary, PKP-1930
