You are invited to a presentation by Dayo F. Gore, author of Radicalism at the Crossroads: African American Women Activists in the Cold War. Professor Gore will discuss Black women radicals mentioned in her book.
Gore is an associate professor of ethnic studies and critical gender studies at the University of California, San Diego. She is the co-editor (with Jeanne Theoharis and Komozi Woodard) of Want to Start a Revolution? Radical Women in the Black Freedom Struggle (NYU Press, 2009).
This event is part of a series of events titled Radical Black Women, which is a collaboration between the Claudia Jones School for Political Education, Black Women Radicals, and the Paul Robeson House & Museum that will pay homage to radical Black women throughout history.
