Stop the repression and persecution of migrants in the U.S.!

En Español.

Not one step back in defense of and solidarity with migrants, unionists, students, and people fighting for their rights in the United States!

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and the Popular Socialist Party of Mexico (PPSM) express our strongest condemnation of the escalating repression and violence exercised by the imperialist and ultraconservative government of Donald Trump against the population of Los Angeles, California. We categorically repudiate the use of militarized police forces and the deployment of elite combat units, such as the Marines, to stifle legitimate popular resistance.

Migrants are honest workers who contribute their labor to the economy and society of the United States and their countries of origin by sending remittances. They are an integral part of the country’s productive life and, regardless of origin, skin color, or language, must enjoy the same fundamental rights that protect all people.

The United States federal government, through policies that violate human rights and repressive actions, tramples on the right to a dignified life of migrant workers, while the far right promotes hate speech, incites violence, and promotes actions to justify state repression.

We denounce Donald Trump as the manufacturer of chaos and instigator of violence in the country, generating crises for his own political ends, for which he violates existing laws even within the United States. In his authoritarian administration to militarize the country and crush any critical voice, he deliberately ignores the protections established for sanctuary cities and disregards the autonomy of states that have expressed their opposition to the policies of racism and discrimination promoted by the federal government.

It is the United States federal government itself that infiltrates agents provocateurs with the aim of generating violence, criminalizing social protest, and justifying the persecution of activists and social activists. We call for energetic and legitimate protest against the raids, persecution, and deportation of migrants, but with the utmost organization and care to avoid falling prey to the provocations orchestrated by the Trump administration itself.

In the face of repression, we offer our deepest solidarity. We raise our voices and demand respect for migrants, particularly for their rights as working people to decent, non-precarious employment, to freely organize unions, and full respect for their right to social protest.

Unity, organization, and internationalist struggle for the rights of working and migrant people!

“Workers of all countries, unite!”

The Communist Party USA is a  revolutionary working-class  political party founded in 1919 in Chicago, IL. The Communist Party stands for the interests of the American working class and the American people. It stands for our interests in both the present and the future. Solidarity with workers of other countries is also part of our work. We work in coalition with the labor movement, the peace movement, the student movement, organizations fighting for equality and social justice, the environmental movement, immigrants rights groups and the health care for all campaign. But to win a better life for working families, we believe that we must go further. We believe that the American people can replace capitalism with a system that puts people before profit — socialism. We are rooted in our country's revolutionary history and its struggles for democracy. We call for "Bill of Rights" socialism, guaranteeing full individual freedoms.
